LightSchool has been designed to open doors to explore the worldviews of reality storytellers featuring discussions, interviews and interactive dialogue on the art of documentary filmmaking.

Our aim is to slice out surprising personal moments filmmakers lived and experienced and their nuanced responses to reality with creative expressions. LightSchool wants to set one's heart on exploring intrigues and subtleties of artistic thoughts and filmmakers' concern to humanity. How filmmakers transpire their experiences for emancipation in the expansive creative storytelling practice? How do they use creative tools as storytelling devices?

LightSchool will feature conversations, reflections and articles from filmmakers, sound artists, cinematographers, editors and other stakeholders uniting cross-cultural perspectives to unleash formal vibrancy and diversity that the reality storytellers have been evolving.

  LIGHTSCHOOL SCREEN

  An integral part of DRI's LightSchool experience the LightSchool Screen offers all to watch selected documentaries and masterpieces from around the world. Each film will be available to view for a limited period of time and the screening will be followed by recorded/live interaction with the respective filmmaker / producer / distributor.
