ELIGIBILITY

This fellowship is created to support early career and emerging documentary filmmakers (directors only) working on refreshingly new ideas. We want to hear innovatively treated stunning stories from the documentary community. The ideas/concepts are expected to have the potential for a socially engaging and human-interest creative documentary.

Applicants are at an early stage of their filmmaking career and have directed at least one short/feature-length documentary. The Applicant must be an Indian Citizen and is available for mandatory participation in both in-person sessions of the 2023 edition and additional virtual sessions.

Students are not eligible to apply.

Projects already participated in other pitching forums and mentoring labs are not eligible for the fellowship programme.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

A maximum of 12 selected participants will be invited to attend as fellows.

FELLOWS WILL RECEIVE

> Accommodation for one person for six nights (twin-sharing basis)

> Breakfast and Working Lunch

> Light refreshments during all sessions

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection (by an independent jury) will be based on the filmmaker’s creative and artistic vision, besides the relevance of the subject. The unique/innovative point of view and artistic approach of the filmmaker are the key to the fellowship consideration.

The selection is final and no communications will be entertained with regard to the evaluation process after the final selection is announced.

Selected Projects will be published on the website on September 20, 2023
