A not-for-profit organization based in Kolkata and registered under the West Bengal Society Act, India.
DRI is engaged in documentary campaign through trainings, workshops, pitching forum, publications and creation of innovative documentary films. The institute is devoted to the promotion of documentary art through intensive screenings and critical dialogues with authors and through other modes of dissemination of documentary activities taking place globally. The DRI team consists of film academicians, art-historians and young documentary filmmakers.
DRI is also registered as an 80 G institution under the provision of Directorate of Income Tax. Govt. of India.
