The Whickers

The Whickers was set up 11 years ago with the generous legacy of pioneering broadcaster, Alan Whicker. It aims to fund and support emerging directors of international, independent documentaries in today's competitive environment. Its top prize, currently at £120,000, has been awarded twice to Indian filmmakers, most recently to Vikram Singh for Camels of the Sea. Vikram was also a previous recipient of the Docedge Whickers Bursary.
