Eveliina Kantola began her role as Film Commissioner for Documentaries and Short Films at the Finnish Film Foundation in August 2024. With a strong background as a documentary producer, her expertise spans all stages of production, supported by a deep understanding of the filmmaking process and a strong passion for storytelling.

The Finnish Film Foundation supports and promotes the Finnish film industry. It provides funding for professional film production, as well as for the exhibition and distribution of films. The Foundation is also responsible for the cultural export of Finnish cinema and supports its international promotion. It is the largest financial supporter of documentary filmmaking in Finland, offering support for script development, production, and distribution.
