Jeremy Yewhan Joey | Programmer | DMZ International Documentary Film Festival (DMZ Docs) | South Korea

Yewhan Joey began his role as a programmer for the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival (DMZ Docs) Industry in 2026. He started his career in documentary filmmaking in 2011 and directed his first feature-length documentary in 2017, which was released nationwide. Alongside his directing work, he has been actively involved in the documentary field as a curator of community cinema programmes, moderator, and forum panellist.

He also works as a documentary producer. His current project, Pellong Pellong, has been presented at several international markets, including EIDF, DMZ Docs, and IDFA. As an emerging producer from South Korea, he participated in DOK Leipzig in 2024 and the Berlinale EFM in 2025, and was selected for the annual EURODOC programme in 2024.

DMZ Docs

DMZ International Documentary Film Festival (DMZ Docs) is a Korean film festival for documentaries jointly presented by Paju and Goyang in Gyeonggi Province. The festival primarily focuses on introducing documentaries from Asia and puts the spotlight on outstanding works worldwide. br />
DMZ Docs also host DMZ Industry to support documentary filmmakers across Asia and discover promising projects to present to the world.
