John Webster | Director / Producer | Finland

John Webster is a Finnish director and producer with over 30 years’ experience in the Nordic and European independent film industry. His films are visually ambitious social issue stories with strong central characters told with humour and empathy. He is the recipient of two Finnish Jussi awards and Docpoint’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

His recent works include The Happy Worker (2022), Eye to Eye (2020), Little Yellow Boots (2017). Burnt Earth will be his third feature doc on the climate emergency.

Karolina has previous experience as producer, film commissioner, distributor and as CEO of Nordisk Panorama. Karolina’s moderating activities include the IDFA FORUM, CPH:FORUM and numerous other film festival and market events - in addition to jury duty, panel & selection committee participation worldwide.
