Alejandro Valdes-Rochin is an award-winning editor and producer with over 20 years of experience collaborating on non-fiction productions, from feature films to TV series and short form.
His work has been shown theatrically and programmed on outlets such as National Geographic, Netflix, HBO, Al-Jazeera, PBS and Red Bull TV. Notable work includes Science Fair (Festival Favorite Award at Sundance and Emmy winner,) Maxima(Audience Award at Hot Docs,) and Five Years North (Metropolis Prize at DOC NYC and duPont-Columbia Awards finalist).
Other works by Alejandro include the hard-hitting pieces Menudo: Forever Young for HBO Max, Undocumented In The Pandemic for PBS’ Frontline, and the duPont-Columbia award winner The Naked Truth: Death By Fentanyl for Fusion.
Alejandro has also served as a frequent mentor on programmes for emerging filmmakers in the USA, Europe and Asia. Currently, he is editing the feature documentary A Childhood Under the Influence for ARTE.
