  • 5 - 8 October 2017

12 filmmakers in their early careers have been selected for two 4-day workshop and mentoring sessions with their work-in-progress projects. The objective is to provide creative input and help the young filmmakers to articulate their vision and stories and develop a meaningful visual trailer/clip for greater international exchange and engagement.

Session 1 of the let'sdoc Fellowship Programme saw the finally selected list of ten projects by upcoming filmmakers come under critical discussions and consequent developments. The tutors for this session were Nilotpal Majumdar, Kavita Joshi, Nilanjan Bhattacharya and Pankaj Rishi Kumar. The filmmakers and the tutors were put through a steady grind for four days, taking apart the films and their creative concepts and opening up avenues for the filmmakers to look at their projects from fresh perspectives. The projects were all at the very initial stages of conception and the subsequent thought processes generated would largely go towards shaping their final structures. Screenings of a curated package of films highlighting various aspects of storytelling and creative applications lent further charge to the filmmakers.
