Iikka Vehkalahti is owner and Executive Producer of IV Films Ltd, Toinen katse Ltd and Rough Cut Service. He has been strongly involved in the creation and production of worldwide series Steps For The Future, Why Democracy, Dare To Dream and Generation Africa.

After drama studies he directed several awarded documentaries including Our Common Future, Tehri-Two Journeys and Amal, Inam, Naila.

As a Commissioning Editor for the Finnish Broadcasting Company, YLE he supported numerous high quality documentaries like Three Rooms Of Melancholy, Act Of Killing, Armadillo, Happiness and Steam Of Life.

Now as an independent producer his most recent productions are Machines and Invisible Demons by Rahul Jain, An Unframed Portrait by Avani Rai and The New Greatness Case by Anna Shishova.

For several yearsVehkalahti was a member of IDFA board. He has been tutoring at ExOriente, DocedgeKolkata, Docs ByThe Sea, Dok Incubator and Co Pro projects and served in the jury at IDFA, HotDocs and Shanghai film festivals.
