Mélanie de Vocht finished her MA in Cultural Anthropology in 2005. After graduating she started working for the Program Department of the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA). From 2006 until now she’s working for the IDFA Bertha Fund. As project manager of the Fund Mélanie oversees the mentoring of the supported projects, is part of the pre-selection committee, guides the selected projects and takes care of the IDFA Bertha Fund selection and delegation at IDFA each year. Furthermore, she represented the fund and/or was part of the jury in several documentary film festivals in the IBF focus countries, amongst others Tanzania, Syria, Peru, Tunisia, Morocco, Georgia, South Africa and India

The IBF is part of the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), one of the world’s leading documentary film festivals. Every year, IDFA includes in its programme around 300 films and draws an audience of over 280,000.
