KriStine Ann Skaret is one of the founders and producers in the Norwegian production company Stray Dog Productions. Skaret has a BA in Aesthetics from The University of Oslo. She also works as a dramaturg and consultant for Mid Nordic film center, guest-teacher at the Norwegian film school and tutor on documentary films for international workshops, previously for EDN, In-Docs and Ex-Oriente. Skaret produced several award-winning films for Medieoperatørene from 2007 – 2012, and was a documentary film consultant for the Norwegian Film Institute from 2012 – 2016, where she supported films like “Nowhere to Hide”, “The Islamist”, “Golden Dawn Girls”, “69 minutes of 87 days” and “Exit”. Skaret has a strong interest in freedom of speech and human right issues.

Skaret’s production house Stray Dog was represented at IDFA with “Alleppos Fall” by Nizam Najjar in 2017 and in 2019 with the co-productions “Khartoum Offside” by Marwa Zein Arbab and “Aswang” by Alyx Arupac which won the Fipresci Award. Stray Dog focuses on creative documentaries and in films that inspire change and give voices to challenging views and takes on life and culture.
