GUNE HYOUNG GUNE HYOUNG, Executive Producer, EBS Korea, South Korea

Gune Hyong or ‘Gunny’ serves as the Executive Producer for EBS Korea, one of the national public TV media networks that serves cultural and educational needs. In the past, he has worked at the ABU Headquarter in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as a Program Producer and as one of the training New Media TV Producers at the Radio Netherlands. In 2004, he became one of the members and the first programmer of the EBS International Documentary Film Festival (EIDF). Gunny studied Mass Communication and Film & TV Production at the Wayne State University in America. He has been involved in documentary production and international film festivals for most of his career.

Korea Educational Broadcasting System is children's educational television and radio network covering South Korean territory, and the only major South Korean radio and television network without a separate regional service. Established as KBS 3TV, Seoul Animation Center and KBS Educational Radio in the 1980s, EBS became an independent corporation in 1990. EBS strives to supplement school education and promote lifelong education for everyone in Korea. The channel selects more than 60 documentary programs every year from around the world, ranging from Discovery & Lifestyle, Art & Culture, Nature & Wildlife and Educational films to serve its documentary strand.
