SEAN McALLISTER WENDY ETTINGER - Co-founder, Chicken & Egg Pictures, USA

Wendy Ettinger, an award-winning producer and director, co-founded Chicken & Egg Pictures in 2005. Chicken & Egg Pictures supports women nonfiction filmmakers whose artful and innovative storytelling catalyzes social change. Since 2005, Chicken & Egg Pictures has awarded $5.4 million in grants and thousands of hours of creative mentorship to over 260 filmmakers. Films supported by Chicken & Egg Pictures have won numerous awards, including Academy and Emmy Awards, but more importantly, they have resulted in change for the issues they address.
Wendy also co-founded Gamechanger Films in 2013. It is the first equity fund dedicated to financing feature films directed by women. With this, Wendy turned into an Executive Producer of films such as “Land Ho” directed by Aaran Katz and Martha Stephens (Sony Pictures) and “The Invitation” by Karyn Kusama. Gamechanger’s latest film, “The Hunting Season”, directed by Natalia Garagiola, recently won the Critic’s Week Prize at the Venice Film Festival. Wendy has also produced “Eye of God” and “The War Room”, the Academy Award-nominated documentary directed by Chris Hegedus and D.A. Pennebaker.
Wendy, an ardent activist, believes in the power of change through media, education, and the arts. She recently returned from the Sundance Film Festival, where three Gamechanger executive produced films were featured as well as two films supported by Chicken & Egg Pictures.
