PAUL PAUWELS SEOKPIL KANG, Filmmaker and Executive Manager, Docs Port Incheon / Incheon Film Commission, Korea

Seokpil Kang majored in political science and began his career in 1997 as a documentary producer and director. His films have been invited to many international film festivals including the Berlin International Film Festival (Forum), the IDFA and the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival. His recent work – “Boys Run”, the second part of a village trilogy – won the Best Korean Documentary Award at Busan Int’l Film Festival in 2015. Docs Port Incheon, initiated and run by Incheon Film Commission, is a platform where Asian documentary makers meet together, get opportunities for training, funding and coproduction and find bridges to non-Asian countries. Docs Port Incheon just had the third edition in 2016 and it has already built its role in the Asian documentary scenario. Unique and creative Asian documentary projects are being sought for, to be presented at the next edition in November.
